Depending upon the extent of damage caused, the severity of the symptoms and the age of the patient the treatment is provided. Every stroke is different from the other, so it’s hard to predict how much you will recover. Some people return to near normal, while others may continue to have deficits. Improvement can continue for years after a stroke, but for many people it’s quickest in the first six months.
